Right before their wedding, couple rescues momma cat and her 3 kittens who were abanoned by the neighbors when they moved, adopting mom and finding all the kittens forever homes: 'They found my home!'

The point of getting married is starting a family, right? So what if that family starts with a bunch of cats?

Finding four cats a week before your wedding is essentially the CDS giving you its stamp of approval and helping you start a family a little sooner than anticipated. At least that is how we would look at it. Wedding preparations are hectic enough, especially during that final stretch in the final week before. Add to that a momma cat and three kittens coming to knock at your door, desperate for help… wouldn't be easy. But we always say that the cats choose the humans and not the other way around, so really, there was no point in trying to fight it, and this couple didn't.

When the momma cat and kittens asked for help, they didn't argue. They let the kitties in, tried to find their owner if they had one, realized the owner abandoned the cats when he moved, and did the only right thing - which was to take the cats in and help them. Their wedding being a week later did not change that fact. They did the only right thing, and we wish them both, as well as their new felines, an amazing life together.

The disdain you have for the person who abandoned these beautiful babies all alone outside is something that we feel deep within our souls. Every time we hear about something like this happening, we cannot believe it. Moving is not something that you do out of nowhere. There would have been time to prepare, to look for other solutions - anything other than just dumping them outside. Abandoning a cat is bad enough, but to abandon a momma cat with her three babies… that is simply cruel, and really, we are thankful that these kitties are no longer with that person, that they are with someone who actually cares for them and will take care of them now.

Honestly, we cannot tell you enough how thankful we are that you saved all these little ones. They needed you. There's no telling how long they all would have survived outside if you hadn't found them. And the fact that you found all the kitties homes and that you kept the mom… nothing could have made us happier. They are in much better homes now than they were before, that is for sure.
